The Role:

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Conference Producer to join our growing company and supporting our events department. You will be working closely with our events department to meet the event strategy, you will take the lead on identifying topics for conferences through in-depth market research and will write/produce a commercially viable conference programme that will offer networking and knowledge transfer opportunities to delegates, sponsors and exhibitors.

 

Your role will involve extensive telephone and face-to-face research with industry contacts to develop conference topics and write cutting-edge conference programmes; recruitment of and liaison with senior-level speakers; writing content-led marketing copy; and effective project management of events from their inception to completion. The successful candidate will work closely with our sponsorship sales, content, marketing and logistics teams to ensure the commercial success of our conferences.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Writing and creating engaging content for event/conference programs, webinars, speaker interview
  • Recruiting highly-esteemed leading experts and relevant speakers to our events program
  • Researching and providing strategic information required to market and sell events
  • Liaising with event, sales, marketing and content teams.
  • Organising and running meetings to determine conference themes, topics, session chairs, and speakers
  • Conducting telephone and in-person research with potential attendees in the target market to develop programme agendas
  • Attending events to promote the conference, gather market intelligence, and to network with potential speakers and delegates to establish and maintain relationships pre- and post- conference
  • Preparing and sending weekly / monthly reports, as appropriate
  • Working closely with the operations team to ensure delivery of a first class on-site conference experience for attendees
  • Travelling to events and onsite project and team management to ensure the successful, high-quality delivery of customer services and the event experience to delegates, as well as speaker liaison to ensure all speaker preparation and requirements are taken care of and that the faculty feel welcome, comfortable, and happy to participate in our conferences

 

About You:

 

  • Minimum 1 year of commercial conference production or commercial experience in another field
  • Experience or interest in agriculture is an advantage – desirable
  • Excellent networking and information gathering abilities
  • Engaging, professional, and diplomatic demeanour
  • Comfortable conducting regular phone calls and meetings with industry figures
  • Strong teamwork skills to ensure the efficient running of the event team across content, marketing, sales and operations
  • Self-Disciplined and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Problem solver with the ability to break down complex concepts, make logical comparisons, and identify underlying patterns and connections
  • Agile learner with the ability to develop in-depth technical knowledge on diverse topics and an understanding of key commercial drivers underlying your products
  • Resilient, with a strong desire to succeed
  • Foreign language skills or the willingness to learn foreign languages is desirable
  • Effective time manager who possesses highly effective organisational skills
