Acreage & Farm Help

What is a Farmsitter? A Farmsitter is someone who has the skills and availability to help or work on a farm or acreage. Vacation coverage, full time help, seeding, harvest, need someone to do chores for a weekend or someone to do the work while you recover from an injury; these are all reasons to call AgriConnect to find a Farmsitter. We will try and find people near your community to help you and we provide our service for FREE.

Imagine - One web site or phone number to call all across Canada to find help for your farm or acreage? One place to go register if you have skills and availability to help someone......
that is what we are building.
We are building a network of people willing to help people.

AgriConnect on CBC's Dragon's Den

We went and taped a segment for the block buster TV show Dragon's Den on CBC. The taping was on May 10, 2010 and the exposure will be huge. The show will likely air in the fall or winter of the 2010-2011 season. We will post it on our Facebook page and on this page 1 week prior to the show. Watch Dragon's Den on Wednesday nights, check your local listings for show times.

Although there is no guarantees the segment will air, we are very confident it will just because of how it went. It's entertaining to say the least.

Stay tuned.

We are extremely excited about this next year because of the exposure this show will give our company. The more people who know about us, the more people we can help.

Please take note of our sponsors and advertisers.  These are the companies that are helping this initiative grow. We need more companies to help the rural community by supporting this effort. Imagine if they would help spread the word through their advertising or on their web sites, we could be helping thousands of farmers!

If you know some board members, senior management, reps and salesmen at companies you think might be able to help grow this initiative, let them know about this service.

Joke of the week

Joke of the Week

A farm boy accidentally overturned his wagon load of wheat on the road. The farmer that lived nearby came to investigate. "Hey, Willis," he called out, "forget your troubles for a while and come and have dinner with us. Then I'll help you overturn the wagon."

"That's very nice of you," Willis answered, "but I don't think Dad would like me to."

"Aw, come on, son!" the farmer insisted.

"Well, OK," the boy finally agreed, "but Dad won't like it."

After a hearty dinner, Willis thanked the host. "I feel a lot better now, but I know Dad's going to be real upset."

"Don't be silly!" said the neighbor. "By the way, where is he?"

"Under the wagon," replied Willis.
